An angry rattlesnake just off the trail at the Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile run May 17, 2008..The rattlesnake was on the trail until a runner was able to scare him off with sticks and rocks without touching or harming the snake. .Race volunteers created a sign and warned runners as they approached the snake. The Massanutten Mountain Trails 100 Mile run (MMT 100) May 17, 2008.<br /> The race is considered one of the toughest Ultra Marathons on the east coast.
